INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Our doctors are experts in helping children, adolescents, and adults learn new ways to handle negative emotions. They utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence based treatment approaches to teach their clients how to build skills necessary to manage distress while providing unbiased emotional support.

In addition to their traditional therapy training, both Dr. McHugh and Dr. Sasaki are passionate about incorporating the mind-body connection into their individual therapy work. They help their clients begin to recognize that mental health is not separate from their physical health. They believe that, in order for true change to occur, a therapist needs to have a holistic approach that teaches their clients how to address both physical and mental concerns to improve their lives.

PARENTING-THERAPY

PARENTING THERAPY

FAMILY-THERAPY

FAMILY THERAPY

Since Dr. McHugh and Dr. Sasaki believe in a holistic approach to therapy, they often prefer to focus on treating the family as a whole to address familial dynamics that contribute to the current psychological stressors of the family. Family therapy can help each member of the family learn healthy communication skills that can reduce conflict and help families rediscover their appreciation for one another in a safe, supportive environment.
